New (Old) Table

My mom and David came to visit this weekend and stay with Kendall while Randy and I went to College Station for our friends Michael and Noelle's wedding. We had a great time and were so thankful we were able to get away for the weekend! Kendall also had a good time spending time with her Granny and Papas. They brought down my old table and chairs that Alden and I had when we were little. She has been needing a table for awhile and she loves it! Today she spent some time working on her puzzles at her new table.

Showing me her "Kendall K!"

Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary

Kendall has still been very into her nursery rhyme book these days. Along with Humpty Dumpty, she has been reading "Mary, Mary" along with us. Tonight she said it all by herself and then let us get it on video! We are so impressed with her. :)

And here are a couple of videos from last night when we were saying the same poem. In one of them, she says, "TV!" because we saw a Sesame Street recently that had a whole Mary Mary Quite Contrary thing on it. I think that's why she likes it so much.

2 Year Pictures

After several weeks of rescheduling because of weather we were finally able to take Kendall's 2 year pictures. Our friend, Micaela - a Brazoswood Sr. and future Aggie - took these. She did a great job! It was worth the wait. Check these out:

Kendall Calls Kendall

The other day Kendall was playing with one of her many play phones. Typically she says, "Hi, this-ah Kendall." Which is funny because that is not how we answer our phones. Well, this time she picked up the phone and said, "Hi, Kendall...this-ah you!" Should we be concerned that she talks to herself? I don't think so. She sure is cute.

Ho Ho Sighting at Luby's!

Tonight we went to Luby's for dinner. About halfway through our meal, an elderly biker-man that looked remarkably like ZZ Top was leaving. Kendall looked at him and said, "Ho Ho!!" She got so excited that Santa Claus was there at Luby's with us--in March! She just watched him and watched him as he walked across the restaurant to the door. When he got close to us, she was obviously staring at him and Randy and I were laughing, so I told him that she thought he was Santa Claus. He came over to try and talk to her, but she froze and was so quiet. After he left, she started talking about him again and pointed to the ceiling and said, "Ho Ho - Chimney!" About 5 minutes later, she spotted another, much cleaner, old man with a smaller white beard (remember we were at Luby's - lots of old people) and said, "Ho Ho? No." She thought that might be him again, but then decided it wasn't him after all. It was so funny and we told Kendall, "You never know where or when Ho Ho is going to show up!"

Nursery Rhymes

Kendall has been loving reading to herself lately. She says, "By myself" to let us know she doesn't want us to read but she wants to do it on her own.

One of her books is called "I Love You So..." and it says "way way more than you know" a bunch. She likes to say that part over and over when she reads it.

She is really into Humpty Dumpty right now, too. Here is a video of her reading her nursery rhyme book.

We love our little reader!!

That reminds me - lately a lot of things have been "wittle" to Kendall. My name lately has been "Wittle mama!" So funny!

Playing Dress-Up

For her birthday, Kendall got some princess shoes from Aunt Val, Uncle Dohe, and Gracie. She loves to wear them around the house, and especially in the kitchen where the high heels click. Anytime she wears them, she has to find a pair of her sunglasses to wear with them. Not sure why those things go together, but they do!
Lately Kendall really likes to "be naked." Sometimes when we are at home she will look at us and say, "Be naked?" She just likes it. Luckily, when she was wearing her shoes and glasses yesterday, she had on her pajama top and panties. Enjoy some cute pictures of a cute girl!
We tried to get her to pose in some of the pictures.
First we told her to put her hands on her hips,
and then I showed her how to put one hand on her hip and one up in the air. She didn't quite get it.
This is what we see a lot. This girl gets more wedgies!! But they are just so stinkin cute!
