Princess Tent!

The other night Kendall and Randy were playing with her princess tent on the floor of her bedroom. He reminded her that it can fit on her bed and she said that she definitely wanted to put it on her bed to sleep in.
Randy took the time to get it on her bed, get everything ready, and then she got in it and he read her a book.
As he was setting it up, I asked him how long he thought it would last. I wasn't too optimistic. She loves playing with it on the floor, but she has never slept under it before.
See? Totally happy about it and excited for it to be on her bed.
We tell her goodnight, walk into the living room, and she immediately calls out to Randy that she wants it off. So now we know...how long does tent on the bed last? Less than 5 minutes. :)
We'll try again soon.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I am a little behind on blogging about Valentine's Day! We had a great day with two sweet little Valentines.
Randy took the three of us on a lunch date to....Chick-a-lay! Where else?! He also surprised me and the girls with presents when he came home, but I forgot to take any pictures of them! He got me some beautiful pink tulips, Kendall a princess mailbox that talks, some Little Debbie Valentine hearts, pink juice boxes, and cards for all of us! What a great Valentine!
Ready to go on a date with her Daddy!
The girls also got Valentine's presents from all their grandparents! Pops and Kiki brought candy, stickers, and cards when they came the weekend before.
On Monday, Granny and Papas sent a Valentine's package full of goodies for the girls. Their most favorite part...Bucee's cups!
Cooper thought she might start crawling to get to her's.
Kendall loved her Molly card!
They also got Valentine's plates and bowls, stickers, and even one of Granny's students sent a Biscuit book for Kendall!
And a little later in the week they got another package in the mail...from Gigi and Peeps!
It was full of princess window clings,
cards, stickers, and
new clothes! They got the girls matching spring outfits that are so cute. Even though it was bedtime, Kendall wanted both her and Cooper to try on their new clothes. So cute!
Such sweet Valentines sisters!!!
Happy Valentine's Day!! Thanks for all the sweet presents everyone!!! We love yall!

Kiki and Pops Weekend!

Last weekend, Kiki and Pops came to LJ for Kendall's birthday! They weren't able to come the weekend of her party, so they came this past weekend to spend time with us and give Kendall her birthday presents! When they got here Friday afternoon, Kendall had just woken up from nap with a fever, but she quickly felt better when she got to open her presents!
For Christmas, they got her furniture for her doll house, so for her birthday she got the people to go with it! She was so excited.
Saturday they took her to the park to play and get some fresh air. It was so nice to get outside after lots of cold days!

They fed the ducks,

and played on the playground. I love this picture of my big three year old!
We had a fun, low-key, relaxing weekend. Other than going to the park, we stayed home and played with the doll house,
and played school...a lot! Kiki is great at making up imaginary games and her and Kendall spent a lot of time taking turns being the teacher and playing school.

Sunday before they left, Pops gave Kendall some Valentine's presents they got for her and Cooper.

Thanks for coming and celebrating Kendall's birthday with us, Pops and Kiki! We had a great weekend with you!

3 year old check up!

Last week Kendall had her 3 year old check up with Dr. B! She was so shy last year that it made me plan ahead this year and spend a lot of time talking about going to the doctor, telling her what Dr. B would be doing, and just building up the whole experience. We even drew a card for him, and Kendall was very excited to give it to him.

Well, I was so proud of her! She did such a good job and was so brave. The nurse came in first and weighed her and checked her height. Last year she wouldn't even step on the scale - I had to hold her - and this year she just stepped right up, no problem! She weighed 39 lbs and was 40 inches tall - both still in the 95th percentile!

When Dr. B walked in, Kendall walked right up to him, said hello, and handed him her picture. He sat and talked with her about it and told her that it was his first Valentine's card this year! He asked her to do several things, like jump up and down, and she did everything he told her. She even spelled her name for him! He checked her out and she was totally fine the whole time. I was so proud of her! After he left, I told her that the nurse was going to be coming in to give her a shot, and that it would hurt a little bit but just for a minute. When the nurse asked her to lay on the table, she didn't cry -she was so brave. She didn't cry until the shot actually went in, but then it was over, I got to hold her, and she calmed down pretty quick. She was such a big girl and we were just so proud...so we took her to get a Sonic slushie!!!

Happy Third Birthday Kendall!

February 4, 2010....Kendall is three years old!

Pancakes for breakfast...
opening presents from Mom and Dad and cards she got in the mail...
playing jewelry store with Dad...
and Chick-a-lay for lunch!
We'd say that's a pretty good birthday!
So good that it just makes you want to dance...right in the middle of Chick-a-lay!

And, take a bow!
Kendall girl, we have loved watching you grow this last year! We love being your Mommy and Daddy and are so thankful for the sweet, smart, and caring girl you are growing into. You are such a sweet sister to Cooper and no one makes her smile and laugh like you do. Happy birthday precious girl!!

A (Snow!) Week at Gigi and Peeps'

After Kendall's birthday party weekend, and the week before her actual birthday, she got to go to Ft. Worth and spend the week with Gigi and Peeps! They left Lake Jackson on Sunday and came home on Thursday, just in time for her birthday on Friday. It turned out to be a pretty eventful week....Ft. Worth started getting snow on Tuesday and it didn't get above freezing until Friday, so they had snow all week! The schools were all out from Tuesday to Friday, and Kendall was pretty much snowed in with Gigi and Peeps the whole time.
Because they were expecting the snow, they decided to pack in a lot of fun things on Monday before they were snowed in. Gigi and Peeps had a surprise for Kendall and Gracie...they took the girls to Build-A-Bear for their birthdays! Here they are on the way!
Kendall picked out a dog and named it Aurora and Gracie picked a bear.

Getting their animals stuffed - Kendall did NOT like this because it was so loud!

Giving the heart a kiss before it went in her dog!
Gigi said that Kendall loved giving her dog a bath! She stayed there for the longest time "washing" it and then anytime they looked up, she would have wandered back over to the bath to wash it again!
Aunt Val and Evy went too, and Val dressed Aurora for Kendall in the pink evening gown she picked out. :) It is beautiful. So proud of their new animals!
Thank you Gigi and Peeps! What a fun idea!
After they made their animals, the girls got to ride on the train in the mall with Peeps. They rode in the caboose!

Then they went to the soft play area to run around.
Evy played, too!

After it snowed on Tuesday, Peeps ventured out to take Kendall to Gracie's for a sleepover! The girls had a lot of fun playing together. Aunt Val said that the first thing they wanted in the morning was a cookie!
Two princesses!
What a diva! This is Gracie's dress-up dress and Kendall loved putting it on a lot!
Kendall had so much fun spending the week with Gigi and Peeps. It was hard for us to let her go, but we knew it would be fun for her and we enjoyed getting to spend the week with just Cooper. We were so happy to have her home though on Thursday night and be able to spend her birthday with her on Friday. Thanks Gigi and Peeps!
