Stickers

Yesterday I took more pictures of Kendall in her pigtails because I just think she's so stinkin' cute! Also, she was wearing a shirt that was actually my Aunt Donna's when she was little. My Granny gave it to me when Kendall was much smaller, and she is just now able to wear it. She looked so big in it and her jeans! I think Molly was kissing her toes in these pictures, making her laugh. :)

The mosquitoes have been CRAZY down here lately, so we stayed inside to play most of the day yesterday. I got out the crayons and stickers and Kendall had so much fun moving the stickers from one surface to another. They went from the paper to the carpet, the bed, her shirt, her feet, and then the door. Such fun!

She was really concentrating hard. :)

"Maybe I'll put them on my shirt...
...or my feet!"

Update: We cut Kendall's "sass" yesterday. It was so hard for us to do because she just loves it so much! She was very sad. We recorded her when she found the "broken" sass and I'm sure we will watch that video for years to come. She looked at it and said "sass?" and then looked at me and said "mama?" in the saddest voice! Randy was home for lunch, so she looked at him next and said, "Daddy? Sass?" Oh my gosh it was pitiful! At naptime she cried when I put her down, which she never does, but after I rocked her she fell asleep. Same at bedtime. She did great at school today without it, fell asleep in the car on the way home, and only cried a little when I got her out of the car and put her in bed. We'll see how bedtime goes tonight. I know she won't even remember it in a few days, and it's best for her not to have it, but this has been so sad for all three of us!

Pigtails!

I have always had a hard time trying to "fix" Kendall's hair because she just will not sit still! Well, tonight she was sitting in her chair (not) eating dinner, so I thought I would try while she was contained. I pulled her hair up in pigtails and they were so cute! They made her look so old...in fact, Randy kept telling me to take them down. :) I made her some new bows last week - now I need to make her some matching small ones to wear with her pigtails! Enjoy these pictures of the cutest girl!

Check out that curl! So cute!

In this video, Kendall had her play phone and, like every time she gets the phone, she was calling "E-E, Aaron, and Ella." We don't know what happens to Holly, but she gets left out every time. Sorry Holly!

Ryder Dane

This is our cousins Jeremy and Beth Anne's little baby Ryder. He was born September 2, about 11 weeks before his due date. He has been in the hospital since then, working hard on gaining weight. This morning he is having brain surgery to relieve some swelling in his brain and to allow some fluid that has built up there to drain. Beth Anne and Jeremy just found out about this last night, and we can only imagine what they are going through as they take their baby boy to major surgery today. Please pray for them and for Ryder. You can check out his blog here and get all the other details I have missed.

Jeremy, Beth Anne, and Ryder, we love you guys and are praying for you this morning! We know you are leaving this in God's capable hands and pray that He will be glorified in this!

Kendall and Sarah at the Park

Last week after Kendall started feeling better, we went to the park and met some friends there. I think my sweet girl was so excited to just get to be outside and see her friends! She played so hard and had so much fun.

In the midst of all the playing and reuniting, I managed to snap a few pictures of Kendall and Sarah...or "Sarsa" as she says. She just loves her buddy Sarsa.
Giving each other hugs.

When we got ready to go, Kendall *insisted* on carrying her bag all by herself. Seeing her walk down the sidewalk with her baby and her bag with her big girl tennis shoes on was just the cutest thing ever!

Look at how red her cheeks were! She played hard!

Kendall's First 09 Tailgate!

This weekend Randy, Kendall, and I went to College Station for the Aggies vs. Utah State game! We actually went down early on Friday night because our friends Michael and Noelle got engaged and had a fun party. We stayed up really late (and kept Kendall up really late!) but she was a trooper and it was great to be able to celebrate with them.
Saturday we woke up, had breakfast with the Pickerings and Erskines, then met Gigi and Peeps who came down to watch Kendall for us while we went to the game. The game wasn't until 6:00, so we went to the tailgate mid-afternoon. This was Kendall's first time to tailgate this season, and her first time to get to sit in her new A&M chair at the tailgate. I was so excited to get to take pictures, but we just got a few before my camera batteries died! So here are the few shots I got before that happened...unfortunately we didn't get any pictures with Gigi and Peeps, but Kendall had a lot of fun playing with them during the game!
Kendall talking to Jeff. He is seriously one of her most favorite people in the whole world.

Look at her cute little chair! I just can't get over it.

Kendall and Mom. I love that Kyle Field is in the background! Good shot Gigi!

Kendall and Dad. She has been a daddy's girl lately. :)

And to top it off, we won! What a great weekend!

Sick Girl :(

Kendall was sick for the first time in her whole life this week! Monday morning she woke up at 4:30 with a 102 degree fever. Even with Tylenol, her fever stayed around 102-103 all day Monday. I called the doctor and made an appointment for Tuesday morning and called school and told them we wouldn't be there Tuesday. She never really had any other symptoms, other than a runny nose, but so many of our friends have been sick with the flu that we didn't want to take any chances.
She was very cuddly Monday and just wanted to be held most of the day, so we did a lot of sitting, reading books, doing puzzles, and watching t.v. That was the upside to her being sick, for Randy and me! It's not often that she just wants to sit and be held! We also let her have her sass all day Monday and I'm sure that made her feel better. :)

Monday night we put her to bed, still running fever, but around 10:30 she woke up crying and we went in and she was sweating like crazy. We took her temperature and it was down to 99.9! She woke again at midnight, and we gave her more Tylenol, but her temperature was still down. She slept without waking up again until 7:45 and when she woke up, she was back to her normal self and had no temperature! We still went to the doctor Tuesday morning just to make sure she was done with it, and the PA said they have been seeing lots of kids with the flu, but that it has been a very fast virus that doesn't hang around long. She thinks Kendall had the flu virus, but that it just wasn't bad and just didn't last long. She was fine the rest of the day Tuesday and Wednesday and we went back to school today!
This was the first time Kendall has been to the doctor for something other than her well-baby check-ups since she was born, other than for a bad diaper rash once! We are so thankful for a baby that never gets sick, and that when she finally did get sick, it was no big deal!

Get Well Granny!

Kendall's Granny had knee surgery yesterday! Her knees have been hurting for a long time now and they finally decided to go in and clean them out of all the bone spurs and mess that was making her bones rub together. She has a lot of recovery ahead, but we know that when it's over she will feel tons better and be able to play with her Kendall even more!

I wore this shirt today Granny to make you smile! I hope it cheers you up!

We love you Mom and hope that you are feeling ok today. We wish we could be there to help you, but we know Papas, Auggie, and Scott are taking good care of you! Love you bunches!

Finished Project

For months now I have been meaning to make a bow hanger for Kendall and I finally did it this week! I got the "K" on sale at Hobby Lobby weeks ago, but Saturday I went back and got paint and some ribbon and finished the project! Randy and I hung it in her room last night and I'm really pleased with it! It's hard to tell in the pictures, but the base of the K is a dark chocolate brown.
