Four Thanksgivings

Kendall had a wonderful first Thanksgiving! We went to Ft. Worth on Wednesday and were able to be at all 4 of our families' Thanksgivings on Thursday. It was a busy day, but Kendall did great and was even able to catch a few naps! Wednesday we spent the night with Gigi and Peeps, Thursday we spent the night with Granny and Papas, and Friday we stayed with Pops and Kiki! We loved getting to spend time with everyone and look forward to coming back for Christmas!

We didn't take pictures everywhere, but here are a few from Thanksgiving day:
Kendall and Mamaw

Drinking her milk at Mamaw's and Papaw's. She has been on whole milk exclusively for 2 weeks now!

Peeking out at the puppies at Granny's and Papas'.
Eating dinner with Granny.

Looking at the Christmas tree and decorations at Kiki's and Pop's.

Gigi and Peeps got Kendall a Little People nativity set! We added it to her toy box with the rubber ducky nativity set. SO cute!

Festival of Lights

I love our town! Every year right around Thanksgiving, Lake Jackson has the Festival of Lights, which ends with the Parade of Lights. All of downtown is lit up with Christmas lights and it is so beautiful! We moved on Dec. 7th last year, so we just barely missed it, so I have been excited all year to go to the parade. We dressed Kendall up in a Christmas outfit, went to eat dinner at Holly and Aaron's with all our friends, and then all went to the parade together. It was a little cold, but not too bad. Kendall LOVED the parade! We sat right where they passed by us and she just waved and waved and talked to them the whole time. We kept saying her arm was probably going to be sore today from waving so much! It was such a blast to watch her enjoy the parade and makes me so excited about experiencing Christmas through her eyes this year.

All dressed up and ready to go!

Aren't these the cutest red shoes?! And they stayed on ALL NIGHT! That's even better than socks!

Kendall and mom in front of the tree. This is my new haircut. It looked good when I got home from the salon, but I'm still learning how to fix it, so it doesn't look great here.

"Dad, the parade is this way! Come on!"
Aaron and Ethan with Dad and Kendall. Ethan is loving Kendall so much these days. Most of the time when they are together Ethan will crawl around right next to her, even though he can walk. Sometimes it looks like they are having a race! I wonder if Randy and Aaron planned their outfits to look like Christmas....Probably they did.

Christmas is Here!

Christmas has arrived at the Dane house! We got all our decorations out yesterday and put them up since we will be leaving town next week. I know it seems a little early, but we have been super excited about decorating for Christmas this year because we have a whole new house to decorate and we didn't get to decorate at all last year because we were moving! We will take more pictures soon of the house, but here are just a few of Kendall seeing the decorations for the first time.

Granny, her favorite toy right now is the rubber ducky nativity set! We have it set up on her toybox in her room and she crawls to it all the time to get them!

She loves the tree. She hasn't tried to pull on it yet or pull UP on it yet...we'll see how long that lasts! Whenever we are holding her, she will point towards the tree to tell us to go stand next to it. She loves looking at all the lights.
And here are a few pictures I took this week of her playing on the fireplace. I just love those little feet tucked up under her! Precious!

This first video is of Kendall playing with a moving decoration we got a couple years ago. The penguins flap their wings and wiggle their tails and they have bells attached, so she loves that. Also, you can see her dancing in this one. Anytime there is music on anywhere she will kind of bounce up and down. This is how she dances. :)

And this last video is of her playing and moving over to her little table. She even stands for just a second by herself! She is getting more and more brave and tries to stand by herself all the time. Big girl!

Potpourri

Sorry it's been awhile since we posted! We had a garage sale today, so we've been busy getting ready for that. It was very successful! And great weather, too. The cold front came through last night and we are enjoying the cooler temperatures.

Here are a few pictures we've taken this week. They are pretty random, but we know people need Kendall pictures!!
These first pictures are of Kendall in an outfit that Kiki brought her. It is so cute! I just love pink and brown.

The next ones are our attempt at capturing her "fangs!" She has 4 teeth now: the middle bottom two and then her two eye teeth. It looks pretty funny and makes us laugh every time she smiles at us.

Our friend Mary Margaret let Kendall borrow Sarah Grace's table toy. Kendall loves playing with it! She stands up at it and plays with all the different toys on it. Doesn't she look so big! It's great to be able to share toys with friends! Thanks sweet Sarah!

Kendall LOVES Elmo! So when she saw him on her Cheerio box, Dad decided that he would cut him out for her. Now she has an Elmo paperdoll that she plays with (and eats). Some kids have stuffed animals, Kendall has paperdolls. :)

And finally, here's a picture of Kendall playing with her toys this morning while we were garage-saling. She likes to climb on the fireplace and play with her toys there. Such a sweet girl!

More Bath Videos!

Here are a few more videos we took of Kendall in the bath tonight. She was having fun looking at the bubbles, splashing, and talking to her duck. Such a sweet girl!

Bath Videos

We took these videos a couple of weeks ago, but I forgot to post them on the blog. We wanted you to see what Kendall loves to do in the bath now! She will kind of "belly flop" onto her tummy and then splash her hands in the water. She gets so excited. We filmed these when the water had almost all drained out, but we could not get her out of the tub! She was having too much fun. When she was younger and couldn't move around so much, she would spend most of her bath laying on her back in the water. Now that she can roll though, she doesn't want to be on her back for even a second - but she will stay on her tummy the whole time if we let her. This week I went and got a cover for the faucet: it's a duck with a bikini on. She is in love with that duck. She sits and talks to it and pulls up on it so she is eye-level with it. So funny. And it has a spout that dispenses bubble bath, so of course I had to get some of that and she loves it too! It gives her something different to splash: bubbles! We'll try to get some videos of her talking to the duck soon.

Don't you just want to squeeze that little bottom?! I love it!!!

Happy Halloween!

We had such a fun Halloween night! Kendall enjoyed being in her puppy dog costume again and riding in her wagon. She was also excited to not only get to trick-or-treat with mom and dad, but also with Kiki and Pops! We went to a fall festival at a church nearby and pulled Kendall in the wagon. From there we went and grabbed some dinner, then went to our friends the Pickering's and the Johnson's. Kendall was so worn out, but she did a great job and was a big hit!

Randy dressed up as a firefighter to go with his little puppy.

Chillin in her sweet ride!

A lot of people thought she was a cow, until they saw her little collar. Either way, cow or dog, she's still so stinkin cute!

We met up with Holly, Aaron, and Ethan aka Donald Duck! We just couldn't quit laughing at him.

Ready for bed in her Halloween pajamas at the end of a busy night. Wonderful memories!
