Exciting News!

We made a last-minute trip to Fort Worth this weekend because we found out that Aunt Val and Uncle Dohe are going to be parents!! We are so excited for them. They asked Kendall to help share the good news. Here is what she wore:

We went with Val and Jeff to pick Gigi and Peeps up from children's camp to tell them the news. They were so excited also, can you tell?

Kendall is feeling very patriotic these days. :)

We were also very excited to get to see Nacho and Porter while we were in! Kendall and Porter had fun playing together.

Porter was so sweet to Kendall...here he is giving her a hug...watch those hands Porter!!!

And finally, here is a video we took of Kendall laughing at her Peeps. He was pretending to sneeze and she just loved it. She is going to be a fun big cousin!!!

Lots of Talking

First Word?

I took this video the other day while Kendall was playing on her activity mat. She just loves to lay there and talk to the bees and butterflies hanging down above her. Listen closely to the end of this first video...did she say "Mama?" :)

I know this last video isn't the best camerawork, but I thought it was cute. She was sitting on my lap and she was sitting by herself for a few seconds at a time. She also has the hiccups. Not the best video, but still the cutest baby!

Beach Weekend!

And we're back! Our camera ran out of batteries, so we couldn't upload any pictures we have taken! Sorry! But we have new batteries now and we have lots to show! This weekend we went to the beach on Friday and Saturday to visit some friends who had a beach house. We had so much fun! We took lots of pictures to show everyone how much Kendall loves the beach.

...and the waves took us down! She loved being out in the water - she just laughed and smiled the whole time.

And just before we get all the comments about her being out in the sun, no she did not have sunscreen on because her doctor said she is not allowed to until she is 6 months old. We took these pictures and then put her in the shade the rest of the time. Today her face is a little rosy, but she is not as red as her silly mom! She is feeling great! She did sleep really well last night, but so did her mom and dad! The beach will wear you out! We are so excited that we live 10 minutes from the beach - we are addicted now!

Happy Father's Day, Dad!

Kendall and I were so excited to get to go pick Dad up from the airport this morning! He flew in from Bolivia this morning and we were so happy to see him! Here is Kendall getting ready to go get Dad.

I love this video! Kendall was laughing so hard at her Aunt Alden. Watch her belly! She thinks Alden is so funny and loves her so much! I know it's not the last time she'll laugh that hard at her!

Kendall and Mom Go to Fort Worth!

Here are some pictures from our trip to Ft. Worth this week. We had a GREAT time, and got to see lots of family and friends. This Tuesday we went and saw Michelle and Katelyn, who enjoyed loving on Baby Kendall. In fact, Michelle told me that earlier that morning, Katelyn had decided to name her baby doll Baby Kendall. She is so cute!!

After that we went to have lunch with our friends Meredith, Sadie, Alicia, and Lindy. It was so great to see you girls!


After lunch we went over to the Lester's house and spent some time with Katie, Mallory, and Joy, and then Sassy came over with her crew. This was Shawna's first time to meet Kendall and she loved her (of course!). Katie and Mallory kept bringing Kendall puppets to love. She enjoyed playing with them! Next stop was Michelle's new apartment at the seminary. Aren't they the cutest pair?!!? Wednesday we took a break and stayed home after our busy day on Tuesday, and then Thursday we had lunch with Granny, Alden, Gigi and Val, and then went on a shopping trip! Kendall got a new bathing suit! Her dad hasn't seen it yet, but we know he will approve because it is a one-piece. Doesn't she look like a little diva?!

We had a fun time, and are back in Lake Jackson now. We are ready for you to come home to us Dad!!

New Things!

We have been in Fort Worth this week, so we haven't been able to put pictures on the blog...until now! These were taken at Granny's house last night. We put Kendall in a big girl chair at dinner and she loved it! She got to sit right at the table with us while we ate.

Then we put her in the hot tub (that was turned down) and she thought that was the best bath she'd ever had! She floated in her boat! Notice that she is still swimming naked, because she still didn't have a swimsuit, but Granny, Mom, and Aunt Alden went shopping today and got her one. Pictures to come!!
