Pink Cakes

Lately Kendall has been talking a lot about "pink." Everything that she likes, she likes it pink. For example. "I like Chick-a-lay. I like PINK Chick-a-lay!" Or, "I want to watch PINK Sesame Street." And, "Kendall, where does Toma live? Does he live in Cambodia?" "No, he lives in PINKbodia!" Everything is pink.
For dinner last night, Randy made pancakes. We decided maybe Kendall would like it if we made PINK pancakes. We were right - she was pretty impressed and really enjoyed the PINK pancakes. Maybe we should try PINK mashed potatoes. Or PINK chicken nuggets.
Also, please excuse the ragamuffin look she is working here. She had a late nap after our trip to Ikea and we were just hanging out at home last night.
In addition to the dresser, mirrors, and lamp we purchased at Ikea, we also bought the cutest little plates, cups, and bowls for Kendall. They were super cheap! 6 bowls for $3! 6 cups for $3! And 6 plates for $3. Of course, Kendall had to drink something out of the PINK cup really quick! Here she is having some after-dinner juice.

What does her old dresser look like? I've been trying to find one for my entryway. Email me a picture if you still have them :)

This reminds me of tye dye pancakes we always made. Drops of food coloring over the batter once it's in the pan and then swirled with a knife. We had those often! Also reminds me of how Anna would take any medicine with no hassle as long as it was purple. Pink ibuprofen, nope. Purple, yes. Pink antibiotic, nope. Purple, yes. We always had to ask the pediatrician if that medicine came in purple. :) These will all be such sweet memories.
