A day of Easter fun!

Today was a big day of Easter egg hunting! Kendall started off the morning at school, where they brought eggs and hunted them with her class. She wore the cutest sweater that is a hand-me-down, so I took some pictures before we left this morning.

I stuffed the eggs that she brought for her class last night after she went to bed, so when I set her basket next to her for some pictures and she reached in for her eggs, she found the treats! We had to have a conversation about how we were bringing the eggs for her friends and that they would be bringing eggs with treats for her!

After her nap, we went to the park for the citywide egg hunt. We had to get there pretty early to get a parking spot, so we had to wait for awhile outside the yellow tape.

Pretty soon her friends Blake, EE and Ella showed up, so they were able to wait together.
Another way to entertain herself while we waited...

When the siren went off saying the kids could go, a lot of people said, "Go!" and all the screaming and noise scared her so much that she just started crying. It was so sad! Randy picked her up and went with her to go get some eggs. I think the tears are still flowing in this picture.
There was a little boy next to her trying to pick up some eggs, but he was younger than her and he was having a hard time, so she reached down and put two eggs in his basket for him. She is such a sweet girl!
We had a fun day of egg hunting, but now Randy is sneezing his head off! 30 seconds of egg hunting for all night of feeling miserable! What a good dad!! We're looking forward to a fun weekend!
