Schelli came and painted Kendall's room today! We love it so much and think she did such a great job! We decided to decorate her room in a storybook theme (I got the idea from my friend Janet - http://losspences.blogspot.com/2009/09/rooms.html) and we matched up books with their characters all around the room. She has a Raggedy Ann doll next to that book, a Courderoy book and bear, the very hungry caterpillar and his book, Curious George with his, and several others. I forgot to take pictures of those before Kendall's nap, so I will have to post those later.
Anyway, we asked Schelli to paint "Once Upon A Time" above Kendall's bed and accent it with the flowers from her bedding. She did such a perfect job! We are so amazed and just love it!
She also painted some flowers framing her mirrors. We are going to paint Kendall's letters a lighter shade of pink to match the words above her bed and then hang them above the mirrors.
She also painted more flowers above the door!
Kendall loves it, too!

The pics look great. Glad I could offer an idea without even realizing it!! I love having my favorite books up in Jonathan's nursery. Once the boys share a room, I may try and use them in a playroom. We school teachers love our storybooks and characters. Happy to see things coming together for you as you prepare for next little one. Love you guys!
Kendall obviously loves her pretty, new room!! She looks so cute pointing to the words above her bed!! Good job, Mom and Dad!!!
